It is one of the Panch Kailash, or called Five Kailashas, which are five peaks in the Himalayas believed to be the home of three Lords of the Universe as per Hindu Mythology Bharma, Vishnu and Mahesh(Shiva).

The Abode of Lord Shiva Mani Mahesh Parvat, also revered as Chamba Kailash, is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. The peak, with its daunting altitude and challenging terrain, has remained unconquered, with no successful summits recorded to date. This unclimbed status adds to the peak’s sanctity, as many devotees believe that the divine power of Lord Shiva protects the mountain from being scaled.

The second, a more arduous path from the village of Holi, presents a challenging climb followed by a descent to the sacred lake. Both the routes are fantastic and memorable.

The Enigmatic Manimahesh Lake At the base of this celestial peak lies the Manimahesh Lake, situated at 3,950 meters (12,960 ft). The lake is a focal point of devotion and is considered sacred by the Gaddi tribe and other pilgrims. During the month of Bhadon, a grand fair is held here, drawing thousands of pilgrims who partake in the holy dip, believed to cleanse the soul.
