What are the Main Causes of Eye Flu or Conjunctivitis?
There are several causes for the eye flu some of them are-
UV Lights, chemical or environmental irritants.
Bacteria: Bacteria conjunctivitis is caused by viruses viz. Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pneumoniae
Viruses:Viral Conjunctivitis is caused by viruses, such as adenovirus, herpes simplex virus, or varicella-zoster virus.
Allergies: Allergic Conjunctivitis is caused by allergens, such as pollen, dust mites, or pet dander.
Irritants: Irritant Conjunctivitis is caused by exposure to substances that irritate the eyes, such as smoke, chemicals, or fumes.
Symptoms Of Eye Flu
- Burning, scratchy or gritty feeling
- Pus- like discharge from eye
- Redness
- Tearing
- Allergens like dust, contact lenses, and pollen
These condition are not very dangerous but be attentive on the new born babies cases you have to consult your eye doctor.
Precautions from eye flu
-Clean your surroundings
-Wash your hand regularly
-Don’t touch your eye again and again
-Don’t share your Towel, handkerchief with anyone
-Ignore contact lenses
-Do not comes in contact with infected person
Eye flu Treatment
Mostly in few cases of invective eye flu, the doctor suggests waiting as the eye infection automatically resolve without any treatment within 2 weeks
- Apply Dark Goggles
- Consult your doctor for the treatment, treatment plan depends on your current situation.
